Saturday, January 01, 2005 Finally it's 2005. It's something I've been looking forward to. To start a new year with all that I have and achieved. Year 2004 is indeed a very unique year. So full of ups and downs. And now it ends with nothing but prayers and hopes for those who suffered from the tsunami tragedy. Sad indeed. To those who have perished, I pray that your soul may rest in peace and that you'll always be by God's side. To those who have lost a loved one, I pray that you'll be strong. To those who lived, I pray for you to be safe. And for all of us, I pray for us to come together, unite as one, as citizens of the world, to repent and give what we can offer. Ahhh Year 2004. Such a significant year in my life. A year where my life was introduced to so many new things. A year that educated me. A year where I found true friends, love, life, truth, and so many more. I'll be eternally grateful for this year eventhough for all the bitter times because I've always gained something in return. I've learnt so much and I've seen so much. I ventured into spaces where I've never entered before. And though at that time it seemed so bad, I'm glad that it happened. I would not have anything changed if I were to relive this year again. I have what I have right now because I went thru what I went thru. New knowledge, new understanding, new love for life. To my friends, you guys are one of the bestest things to happen to me. You've made this year so special for me and I'm so glad that all of you were there with me to usher in the new year. Chenn, Sing Yieng, Pui Yee and Kenny. Each of you are so different in character and it is that difference in all of you that I've gained so much. Each of you taught me something new. You've never hesitated to show me how much you care and you guys have never stop being there for me. I thank God for blessing me with such beautiful caring friends. Girls, the BBQ rocked and I'm so glad that I was there with all of you. It meant so much to me that you were there. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It was fun going grocery shopping together and preparing the food. We did it all on our own! From 'deshitting' the prawns, beheading the sotong, to marinating the ayam and pinning the bacon onto the banana! We ushered in the new year in the car and we even saw fireworks. But that's not the point. This year is so special because all of you were there with me. Your presence was what made it such a special day for me. You were all there. I love us and I'm so proud of us. I love you gurls so so much. *Hugss* And to Kenny boy, thanks for coming all the way from Section 17. It was really a bonus that you came. Made everything complete. Was really happy to see you. What more can I ask for? 4 of my most favourite persons with me on the first day of 2005. :) Thank you for completing my day. Year 2004 is host to many many great memories. From the first day I entered college to the time my whacky bunch of S2-ians went to Genting together. I still remembered my first day in college so clearly. So many unfamiliar faces and everything felt so foreign and cold. And after a week or two, everything was warm and friendly. From total strangers to really good buddies. A bond I've never experienced before with such a large group of people. Thank you S2 for all the beautiful wonderful memories! It's almost impossible to recall all I have done in the past year. To write it out would seem like an endless task. So much happened. Too much happened. It is true when they say college is happening. It indeed is. The people are awesome. The people that I've befriended with are awesome. May, Shan, Joo, Xin Yi, Bryan, Fery, Kevin and even James, just to name a few. The movie trips, the lepaking, the standing in a circle in the foyer deciding where to go for lunch, the ghost-ghost game, the crap talks, and the surprise birthday cakes! These are times I shall remember forever. And as for me, I felt that I've grown as a person. How could I have not? With life being such a tough subject and my friends and family being such great tutors. Gosh I'm 19 this year! So so old! Last year of being a teen! Darn next year I'll be the big 2-0. Woah. I'm old. I'm gonna make new year resolutions eventhough it never works but heck making new year resolutions is fun! -Work real hard for A2. -No more studying last minute. -Loose weight. -Be less sarcastic. -Be less egoistic and stubborn. -No more super short haircuts. -Show more love to those you care. -Don't give in to temptation when you know it's not right. Yeap that's about it. I really intend to keep the last two resolutions. :) And now comes year 2005. A year I hope that will bring much joy to me and everyone. Let the new year begin! Come what may!
