Friday, September 08, 2006 Wow...So much has happened since I last blogged. I've been meaning to update more often for there are many to update about but somehow I can't bring myself to log in and type away. I don't know how some people blog so religiously. What with a long hectic schedule and getting barely enough sleep, I rather spend the spare time I have to get some shut eye. But that's just me. x) So yeah, the many things that happened in such a relatively short span of time... - I got a new laptop. Acer Aspire 5553. I absolutely love it and I got it for a pretty cheap price too. Great specs and cheap. x) - Merdeka Day came and went. Somehow I didn't feel very patriotic this year. Thus I stayed at home like a loser and slept the night away. x) - I finished The Historian and found it draggy with too much history for my liking. The book never seems to end even when you think all is well and they'd live happily ever after. The plot gets a little ridiculous towards the end. But again, that's just what I think. - I finally got to read Eragon and Eldest and am now a huge fan of the trilogy. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out. I think Christopher Paolini is a genuis. To think he wrote Eragon at the age of15! Respect! The movie's coming out in December and I'm already slightly dissapointed with the cast. I hope and pray and wish they don't butcher the book. I love medieval movies and I hope this one will be as good if not better than LOTR which still rocks my socks! x) -I've been inspired to write a novel. I got the storyline sketched. Let's hope I have enough determination to stick to this. x) -Tonnes of assignments hurled at my direction for the month. I'm beginning to realise that I've been slacking too much for my own good despite the promise I made to myself. Mustered the will to study a little today. *pats self on the back* -Steve Irwin 'Crocodile Hunter' passed away. I still can't believe he's gone. Was really shocked to read of his passing on the internet. Shock later turned into sadness. I know he's in Australia and all, and I don't know him or have anything to do with him but I greatly admire his passion for the things he did. He was quirky and truly one of a kind. Though I don't get what's up with the turtle icon people are putting up next to their MSN nickname. For pete's sake, he's the Crocodile Hunter. Not the Turtle Hunter. Let us all remember his passion for doing what he loved best. x) *looks up at list* Okay lah maybe not that much happened lah. Heh. Well it seemed like alot when you don't list them down. x) Lately I've been having some sort of identity crisis. Okay maybe not that kind of identity crisis but I don't know what else to call it, so yeah. I somehow cannot grasp the fact that I'm already 20. It seems so surreal. 20 is a big number yo. It's two bloody decades. I've been alive for 2 decades. O.o Sometimes I still feel like a 16..okay maybe a 17 year old. Sometimes I even feel like I'm 15. I look at the newspapers and read about some dood or dudette who's done this and that, and when I come to know that they're only 20+, I automatically think that they're way older than me. I just cannot believe that I'm in the same age group. That I'm looked upon as an equal. Do I feel like an adult? I know I'm capable of being mature but being an adult? I'm just a kid yo. At least I still feel like one. I don't want to grow up so fast. I'm beginning to realise that time passes by so quickly now. I still remember when I was 15 years old. It seems like yesterday, the memories still so fresh in my mind. I read about people my age blogging about stuff so much more mature than what I have here. I read about people my age achieving so much where else I'm still struggling with assignments and all. I read about people my age leading a lifestyle I can not even imagine myself in. People my age. People in their 20's. Like woahhhhhh...... Maybe it's because I'm too sheltered. Or maybe because I'm a late bloomer. I sometimes look at a person who's a few years older than I and somehow feel so much younger than I actually am. Then suddenly I'd realise that I actually look my age and I should stop acting like a shy child and look at the said 'older' person straight in the eye and act my friggin age. It's so weird. And so uncomfortable. It's actually quite embarassing to reveal this in public. Maybe I don't go out enough. xP At home with my family, I'm myself. I've been like this since I can remember. I'll prance around the house and do silly things with my mother. I'll babytalk to my 6 year old rottweiler and bully her till she plays rough. I talk to myself. I'll walkdown the hallway and yell 'ABUKID' with hand actions and all, ala Street Fighter when I see my brother. My mom remembers to record, Care Bears The Movie for me without my asking. I still think my collection of Sailormoon, Keropi the Frog and Hello Kitty stickers are precious. *looks up* Let's just hope I'm not the only one around feeling like this. I'm sure I'm not alone. There should be a child in everyone. Sigh...I don't wanna grow
