Thursday, February 08, 2007 How do we prevent the feeling of letdown in our hearts? I guess the only way not to be disappointed is to not have high (or any) expectations at all. But it is at all possible to have zero expectations? Especially from one you love?It sucks to wait and to want and feel that it is unrequited. It sucks to feel like you're not appreciated and unimportant. It sucks to be so excited and have the other party be aloof about it. It hurts too. Not excruciatingly but it is there. And the fact that it is still there bothers me. But what is a person to do? Sometimes it sucks to have a conscience. Because when you have one, you weigh two sides to a coin and tell yourself that you're being selfish too. So you hold back. And when it hits the peak, you blog about it instead of confronting it because no one wants a party pooper. And now that the frustration is somewhat out, you feel somewhat better, and you resume your efforts in hopes of something worthy.
