I'm going to Malacca today!!

Just came back from Alexis Bar for the Tribute to Eva Cassidy gig. I wouldn't say it sucked but I certainly expected more. Maybe Eva is just incomparable. She's truly one of a kind. I expected the singer to exude Eva's strongs soulful voice. But her's was a lil' bit too sweet. Like a choir girl's voice. She can sing, I'll give her that but only Eva can sing Eva's song. x) Alexis was packed. Thank God, William and his friend arrived there early so we sort of 'tumpang-ed' their table. We ended up nomading to different tables and finally found a really good spot right in front of the stage.

The second half of the performance was much better once she started singing more jazzy numbers. I did have a pretty good time just chilling out listening to good music. But I must say I was pretty mesmerized with the uncle on the piano. Man, watching those fingers fly was quite an experience. Shiok. x)

Alright, will be heading to Malacca for a day trip with Kenny and the girls in 0800 hours. x) Gotta catch some sleep.

It's gonna be so so much fun. x)
